UpWind’s comprehensive O&M services now include two new options to optimize value and profitability throughout the project’s lifecycle.
San Diego - UpWind Solutions, Inc., North America’s most comprehensive independent operations and maintenance (O&M) service provider for wind energy, adds two new services to their portfolio to…
- Optimize service value and asset profitability through the entire lifecycle of the project.
- Help owners optimize the value of their OEM warranty and provide turbine protection options after the EOW period.
The new services, Warranty Optimizer and Turbine Protection, help wind farm owners increase production, lower operating costs, and extend asset life, ultimately maximizing profitability.
Warranty Optimizer is a service to optimize the value of the OEM warranty from start to finish by:
Liberating your data: UpWind Insight™ data historian captures, stores and aggregates all required turbine data on a continuous basis, throughout the warranty period
Tracking asset performance with detailed analysis: UpWind Insight™ performance engineering and analysis tracks asset and turbine performance on a monthly basis, highlighting areas of concern and opportunity for improvement
Identifying product shortfalls: UpWind performs periodic turbine inspections and a final EOWI
Addressing warranty claims throughout the warranty period: Claims development, submissions and management throughout the warranty period
Turbine Protection is a full service warranty option for unplanned component replacements and repairs after the original OEM warranty expires.
UpWind Solutions first developed a ‘full wrap’ concept and solution in 2011 for a 10 year old under-performing project, which the owner wished to move from the OEM to a Full Service ISP. Four years later, UpWind has successfully shifted the project from a 78% Availability to a 96% Availability, covered major component risk and services, and delivered bonus generating production.
Whether the owner is looking for a ‘Bolt-to-Blade’ or ‘Drive-Train-Only’ solution, UpWind has the methodology, the experience, the proven track record and the applicable data needed to provide multiple options that cover unplanned major component replacement and repairs, with varying degrees of risk transfer and scope.
