Russell Leach
Director of Quality & Performance Engineering

Russell is the Director of Quality & Performance Engineering and has over a decade of experience in the wind energy industry. Prior to coming to UpWind, he worked for GE Wind Energy and Florida Power and Light, holding positions including high voltage manager, commissioning supervisor, regional manager and field engineer. He also served as plant manager for the Big Spring Wind Project in Big Spring, Texas, and worked as a field engineer for a public utility.

In 2004, Russell received the Outstanding Achievement in Operations Award for the American Wind Energy Association. He earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University.
